Strychnine-based Squirrel and bird poisons
Metaldehde-based snail and slug bait
Arsenic-based poisons, any type
Organophosphate-based Flea & tick killers and de-wormers, if overdosed.
Theobromine, this is found in chocolate. Dark chocolates are especially dangerous.
Lead from any source.
Zinc in high dosages, as in pennies, skin cream, fertilizers, shampoos and calamine lotion.
Iron-based fertilizers
Cleaners like pine oil

Some of the plants below may give your dog an upset stomach if eaten, but others may kill him. If you plant any, consider fencing them off securely.

If you believe that your pet may have ingested one of these grab a sample of the suspected plant and get the the vet ASAP if your pet has any serious complications (bloodly vomiting, bloody diarrhea, seizures, coma etc.)
